Streetwear Trends: Where Golf and Street Style Collide

Nothing fit right

Why We Design Small-Batch: The Story Behind Sharp by Design

Every brand says it cares about quality. Fewer explain what that actually changes about how they operate. For us, it comes down to one decision made early on: we design and produce in small runs, on purpose, even though it would be cheaper and faster not to.

Where it started

Sharp by Design was born out of a genuinely simple frustration: never finding "that one thing." On the course, golf wear that looked good rarely felt good, and gear that performed never looked the part. Off the course, it wasn't much different — graphic tees that were either too safe or trying too hard, nothing that felt considered.

So we started designing our own — golf apparel, graphic tees, and eventually a curated line of art prints for people who wanted the same bold-graphic look off the shirt and on the wall.

Golf-inspired, not golf-only

Golf is genuinely part of our DNA — our trucker caps and polos are built to move seamlessly from the fairway to everyday life. But that same sharp-detail thinking runs through everything else we make — statement graphic tees, hoodies like our 'Pricks' No.7, and art prints for the wall. It's not a golf brand that also makes streetwear, or a streetwear brand that also makes golf gear — it's one design sensibility applied to both.

Why small-batch, specifically

Small runs mean we're not chasing volume — we're choosing designs because they're good, not because they'll move in bulk. Practically, that means:

  • Fewer duplicated designs floating around, since we don't overproduce any single print or colourway
  • Faster iteration — if a design works, we can build on it quickly; if it doesn't, we're not sitting on a warehouse of stock we have to discount
  • More attention per piece, since our small team is hands-on from concept to final product rather than approving designs from a distance

It also means when you buy an embroidered trucker hat or an art print from us, you're less likely to see it on the next three people at brunch.

What we're building toward

We're driven by three things: quality, intention, and individuality. We don't chase trends — we're building for the people who set them: the creatives, the golfers who care about how they show up, and anyone who'd rather wear something considered than something safe.
